Benjamin Franklin Half Dollars: 1951 P, D, S
In the year 1951, approximately 17 million Ben Franklin half dollars were minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark), about 10 million were made at the Denver mint and around 14 million were produced in San Francisco.
Franklin halves were made of 90% silver. The mint mark appears on the reverse side of the coin above the image of the Liberty Bell.
